The palace consists of three floors with an elegant facade indicative of the Renaissance period and is located on the street known as Via Umberto I.

The palace was restructured by V. Vespignani in the mid 1900s. There are remarkable wall paintings which decorate the interior of the palace done by G. Folchi and A. Angelini. Part of the palace is property of the Town Council and is currently being restored as a public library and museum for the city and surrounding territory.
