This 11th-century tower was constructed on a square plan and is topped with battlements.
Tarchna, Corneto, Tarquinia
It is now the property of the local Town Council. The battlemented parapet is constructed using “macco” stones placed horizontally and held in place by a type of cement made of lime, sand and “pozzolana”. The doorway consists of a semi-circular archway and is raised above the street level. In the upper portions of the single- and double-lancet windows can be seen in addition to a sealed door.
